LIPSHY PARK

Built in Memory of Sidney Lipshy in 1976, it served as a wonderful garden space for Residents and Staff Members. In recent years, a lack of funding reduced its beauty and utility for the Residents. The M.B. and Edna Zale & Abe Zale Foundations saw the need, and rescued the Park. Thanks to the Foundations, we've been able to collaborate with long-time DSSLC advocate Neil Sperry, and the talented Elizabeth Smidt of Great Gardens. Elizabeth’s landscape plan includes decomposed granite pathways and native Texas plantings, sitting and rest areas for individuals and groups, an irrigation system, a water feature, and a venue for picnics and outdoor movies.

The Park should be completed this Spring!
