CRUISIN' - THE 42ND ANNUAL MUSIC FESTIVAL!
Please congratulate Participants Cece E., April S., Brenda M., Cara R., Susie W., John K.,
Ron A., Stanley W., Julius J., Tommy M., Tim S., and Paul W.!
They earned 6 trophies, including 1st place in their hand bell choir performance of "Michael Row the Boat Ashore" , trophy for their vocal choir performance of "Yellow Submarine" (featuring Brenda marching with the Christmas Pageant horn, Ron on mandolin and Stanley on the conga drum),
for their sign language group's performance of "Come Take a Trip in my Airship" (which included visits to Venus, Mars, and the man on the moon), for John Kammerdiener's sign language solo "Come Sail Away" by the 70s band Styx, for Tim Stephens' vocal solo "The Letter," and for Stanley and Julius's instrumental duo to "Twist and Shout" (with Stanley on the drum and Julius on the cymbal). Ron Akin also played a mandolin solo to the song "Africa" by Toto, Cara sang a solo of "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot," and our guitar ensemble performed "Daisy" (A Bicycle Built for Two) with a real bicycle for two on the stage.
